It is recommended you file a new form each time you move and you must file one if you have never registered. You must be registered at least 15 days prior to an election in which you intend to vote. If you do not reside in Los Angeles County you must contact the County in which you reside to vote.
The City Clerk’s Department uses a large number of registered voters each Election Day to act as Polling Place Inspectors and Clerks. The pay is small, but the need is great. If you would like to volunteer, please call the City Clerk Department at 323-584-6230.
